Employers Beware! The Penalties for not Posting Employee Rights Notices are Increasing
Employers are required to post notice of certain employee rights. Failure to post these signs could result in penalties, and the EEOC just raised the penalties for failing to post the proper notices required under Title VII, the ADA and GINA from $210 to $525.
The last time the EEOC adjusted the penalty was on March 19, 2014. The final rule is effective 30 days after publication in the Federal Register.
Make sure your posters are up to date and posted in a location that is easily accessible and visited by most employees. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call Danenhower Law Firm.
